Apple and pear compote

When life gives you 5 apples and 2 pears, what are you going to do with them? Eat them, that’s an option. Or make a compote.

Bring 5 cups of water to a boil, add juice from half lemon, lemon zest and 4 spoons sugar (or 4 tbsp of agave syrup). When the sugar melts completely, add the fruit pieces and boil for 5-10 minutes, or until you see the fruits become soft.

This was my first compote and it turned out really tasty. I tried with mandarines and grapes, as well, but it was so good it didn’t make it to the photo shoot.
